Being Strong in the Lord

Now that we have learned HOW to be strong in the Lord, we will be learning how to REMAIN strong in the Lord when the storms rage, trials come, temptations arise, circumstances change, problems occur and when defeat and discouragement try to settle in our spirits.

Being strong in the Lord as we face problems is something we cannot manage on our own. God is our rock and in Him we receive strength and peace. Read over these bible verses slowly and let them settle in your heart.

Philippians 4:13

This is the most quoted scripture when we are going through hard times. Has there ever been a time when you were going through something hard quoted that scripture yet didn’t believe it, see any hope or any way out? Did you put your faith in the circumstance and problem or in God? What happened and what was the outcome?

Isaiah 40:29-31

When we have felt defeated, discouraged and downcast, how has God given you His power and strength to turn things around and get back on point with Him?

Psalms 119:28

When we have felt heaviness in our soul in a past situation how has God strengthened us? Have you ever experienced strength from God’s word when you thought you couldn’t go on, you read a passage and it helps you to move forward? Please share

Ephesians 6:10

How do we obtain and keep the strength of the Lord and the power of His might upon us in our daily lives in any situation?

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

What do you get from this passage? Is God asking us to be happy that we have infirmities and pains or that accepting them and thanking Him for our weaknesses allows Him to take our  shortcomings and show His power?

Psalms 46:1

Has there been any time in your life where He has been your present help in times of trouble where you have experienced a God intervention?
