“My beloved speaks and says to me, ‘Arise, my love, my fair one, And come away. For behold, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth once again; The time for singing has come, And the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.

Song of Solomon 2:10‭-‬12 AMP

How many of us have been in deep adoration and love with someone? Where we can’t get enough of them, gazing into their eyes and watching their every move? Then when the other person gets awkward we say geesh can’t you just let me love you? But, then when we are in the Fathers gaze we get squeamish feeling uneasy? Afraid that we will not measure up? Not be worthy of His love? The bible says He clothes us in His righteousness and adorns us with His jewels. Isaiah 61:10. There is nothing that can ever take His love away or nothing we can do to make Him love us more! Psalm 91.

How comforting to know that! That there is no one, no other love, no other relationship that can ever measure next to His.  Yet, He tells us and is often so that we lose that same adoration like we once had with Him like we felt when we first gave Him our hearts and dedicated our lives. We left our first Love. Revelations 2:4. The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy John 10:10. We get distracted, thrown off track but like last week all we need to do is reach for His unchanging Hand, repent and get back in position!

Absolutely nothing is too hard for God. Not even messes we create!Jeremiah 32:17. Jesus ascended  with the Father so He could send us the Holy Spirit to always help navigate and guide us in life! John 14:16. Because of what Christ did on the cross we have full authority and victory over the enemy. Ephesians 6:10 Sometimes we either fall in one of the categories.

One is we weigh too heavily taking advantage of grace while still walking in the flesh or we don’t accept grace towards ourselves holding ourselves in contempt. How do we weigh too heavily on grace while walking in the flesh? I’m glad you asked! We take advantage of grace by saying things like I was born this way with this attitude problem, this temper. I can’t help it. God knows my heart and will forgive me yet not allow Him in to change our heart conditions, trauma, hurt and pain. Another example is dating like the world sleeping with your boyfriend staying at his house saying God knows my heart and how I want to be a wife yet walking in the flesh thinking we are forgiven and clean when we are not!  The scripture says

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.  That is where most christians end the quote! But it states, there is no condemnation who WALK NOT after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1. I’m not talking about an occasional fall where we repent but purposefully sinning thinking there is nothing wrong with it. Who has heard that quote-they who are too heavenly minded are no earthly good? I have heard that said to me before. But researching the scriptures and what Jesus says that is not scripturally correct. We are to live like Christ,(Galations 2:20) walk like Christ (Romans 12:2), have character like Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).

We are to be a new creature in new wine skin! How do we do that? By allowing the Lord to heal, grow, mature and develop us. The other? By holding ourselves or others in contempt. Saying we give and accept grace yet keep the prison door either consciously or subconsciously locked. It says in the Word they will know we are Christians by our love not by our heavenly language! I thank God for my heavenly language as it is a secret prayer in the heavenlies but the gift of tongues is only a sign. Living a Holy life is evidence! Tongues were never meant or created for us to feel superior but sounding the alarm and trumpet!

God is delighted in us because we are simply His children. But is that all you want from Him? Going through dark seasons do we want a personal intimate relationship with the Lord falling deeper and deeper in love to where when the darkness tries to poke its ugly head it doesn’t faze us or are we good going through this life at the status quo? Are we distracted on the wrong things or are we heeding the call of the great commission? What is the great commission? We are commanded to go make disciples of all people bringing under submission every nation under God. How many disciples have we brought to Christ?

How about the ones from other nations? That don’t look, live and talk like us? That don’t worship our God, idol worshippers? Devil worshippers having a heart for all people from all parts of life? It is good for us to equip the saints but what are we equipping them for? We were meant to equip and edify the saints and send them out by twos! Let’s have a heart and determination like Nehemiah on the wall and not stop until either God calls us home or Jesus comes back. Let’s pray for the lost souls out there like we pray for our lost family members. God bless
