I start off with a story. My daughter at 18 decided to go work with her friend for a summer job. She was to come back in August and when she came back, she abruptly came in and said I’m moving out! Packed her bags and left. She went to go live and work at the track with the horses. My friend told me so many stories about people being on drugs, having sex and raping young girls. That caused me to stay up late every night praying and crying for the Lord to “bring her home.” In the mindset of, at least at home I can pray over her, cover her, do devotionals with her and make sure she is home safe.

But, that is not what happened. She stayed out there. I kept inviting her to church and she was always working. I kept praying, sowing seeds and pretty soon, she would call me for different things. She told me I would really like her boss lol as he sounds like me as he would give her and her best friend advice to do their work and go home not getting caught up in the life there! Her other boss she had was a christian as well and treated her great.

She would call asking me to pray for her boyfriend’s brother and his mom. Her not being stifled here at home with me, the Holy Spirit had the wiggle room to move. She would call me and say mom! Do you hear who’s on the over comm? I told her no! She said Trent Shelton! Do you remember me listening to all the videos? I said yes I do! God was at work! Even though it was an advertisement the memories of the videos flooded her mind!

She would call me and say guess who’s on the radio? It would be Carrie Underwood singing “Jesus take the wheel!” The Holy Spirit was wooing her back to Him into an intimate relationship of her own. She even called me telling me her prophetic dreams not even realizing they were prophetic. As well as  asking me to pray with her and her husband as he wanted to ask the Lord into his heart. Come to find out years later, back when I was crying and praying that is when the Lord had her surrounded with His saints.

Their neighbors? One was a chaplain and the other an older christian lady. They would pray with her, bring her food, invite her to church and be there for her. Just like He usually works (like David) telling us the end but not showing us how we are going to get there. David had to go back to being a lowly shepherd after being told he was gonna be king. But, it was when he was that shepherd he learned and mastered what he needed to beat Goliath!

That is truly our faith walk and keeping us humble! Thinking back to my daughter’s story, who or what situation in our lives do we look at seeing no evidence and think it’s too far gone? We need to get to a place in our walk with the Lord where we can truly trust Him even when we can’t trace Him! How do we do that? By holding onto the many times He has done it before!

Nobody is too far gone that cannot be redeemed from the Father. Jesus will leave the 99 to find the 1.  Matthew 18:12. Yet He calls us to be prepared like the virgins with the oil. Mathew 25. He doesn’t want us to conform to their ways trying to save them but calls us as intercessory warriors to pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 I have changed the way I pray to Have Your way Lord. Whether they are in a Jonah, prodigal son , Saul, or Sodom and Gomorrah season Your heart Lord is You want no one to perish. Meet them in their circumstances, woo them to you like only you can, Holy Spirit and have Your Way. Your ways are higher and not our ways yet they are perfect.

I don’t want to pray amiss. I know from my own experience You use the hard things, trials and tribulations to strengthen our trust muscles. To bring deeper intimacy, deeper dependence and build up our faith stronger and stronger still. So we often try to pray things away that God is using for His Glory! So how do we know the difference? Well, in my experience it is when I try to pray things away and they remain! I change my prayer to Have Your Way. If it be your will Holy Ghost for it to remain -strengthen them, keep them, uplift them filling them with your love, joy and peace.

A Lot of times we pray so hard and long for people and situations and see no evidence of Him working. He is always working in the back scenes. What if the people that prayed for us gave up praying and covering us? With the things we have been through, would we be here? I know I wouldn’t. Let’s stay on assignment as we are called to intercessory before we are pastors, teachers, apostles, bishops, prophets and prophetesses. Let’s not let go of our assignment as prayer warriors first as no one no matter how far they have swayed is too far gone. I hear what you are saying in the spirit to not cast your pearls amongst swine Matthew 7:6 which is in actuality not conforming to the world to save them as well as using our mantle gifts and abilities for worldly status or benefit (satan). He calls us to go make disciples to all nations.  Matthew 28:19 He never gave up on the Israelites when they were idol worshipping.

Never gave up on the adulteress woman.  Never gave up on Saul, David or Moses. Let’s love like Christ, pray without ceasing for people and accept them as they are letting the Holy Spirit do the rest. Am i saying to say its ok to be homosexual, stuck in sin? Am I saying to go hang out with them at a seance or the club? To conform, saying it’s ok ?By all means no!! Yet we can love, share what we believe and why.

Think of it this way, if we were stuck in sin and we feel like an outcast in the church, not accepted or feeling not worthy of the church do you think they will accept our God? Help us to lay our life down, help us have a heart of a servant to all people, help us to be humble. May the Love you have for us Lord affect every relationship from neighbors and even strangers. God,help us today to accept those around us and to genuinely welcome them with open arms in spite of our differences. Romans 15:7

Help us Lord to pray for people like we do for our own children and family. We as christians have a bad habit when it comes to people we love and care about. We love the people and hate the sin! But towards other people? We hold grudges, holding onto hurt towards the people hating the people not the sin. I hear you in the spirit saying I don’t hate anyone! I have the love of Christ in me and through me. But in a gut and heart check we are still holding onto hurt and the only way we can hold onto hurt is holding a deep seeded grudge.

It might have been masked, kept hidden but it is there! What do we do about it? Bring it to the Father transparently! I don’t understand why this keeps coming up Lord when I thought I was over it? I re-release it to you lay at your feet while being still in your presence for you to finish the work you began in me. Most times we pray for the Lord to change their hearts, but in reality God is trying to change ours in the process.

Will you lay it all down and leave it there? We as christians have no problem being transparent laying it down but then without even realizing it we pick it back up! We drive by their house, check their facebook page and ask a friend how they are doing. We peep in trying to find evidence of why we should be holding a grudge still, we peep in to see what they’re up to or if they’ve moved on. We need to keep our eyes in the sky, to the hills where we get our help! We need to stop walking in the flesh, feeding it snacks along the way and walk in the spirit. I hear you…. How am I feeding that grudge a snack? By checking their page, by holding onto things, by not allowing  God to take us through the healing process. For Example feeding a lustful spirit would be putting yourself in a situation you know you are going to fall!

So I ask again….

What situation or person appears to be too far gone?

As we know healing is a process and from my experience He is not in any hurry. He carefully and methodically takes off one layer at a time.

What situations keep popping up thinking we are done with?

What situations do we keep picking back up? We need to repent and put it  back into the Father’s care.

As we go through this week let us go into the Fathers Presence seeking His Wisdom and His Discernment. As we continue on our Faith Walk holding hands with Him let’s decide to keep trusting the Lord even when we can’t trace Him.  God bless you
